PAGE 37: PERSONAL INVENTORY LIST
I have practiced taking a personal inventory in my weekly planner for the past few years. There is a self-awareness section where I write a list that I try to revisit once a month. The advantage of taking a personal inventory is that it will provide insight into yourself. It will also help you measure your progress and set a plan for improvement. It will guide you toward what to work on. It may appear easy, but don’t fool yourself. It requires that you put your ego aside and that you have a very honest conversation with yourself. It requires that you freely admit your weaknesses and the areas where you can grow and develop.
I prepared a list of questions that you can ask yourself, which you can find here
PAGE 81: LIST OF YOUR TOP VALUES
The first step that you can take is to write down what your top five values are. I love to play this “game” with my clients. I take a set of value cards, and I have my clients make three piles. One pile is for the values that really resonate with them, the second pile is for the values that are “maybes,” and the third pile is for the values they don’t care about. I give them three minutes to go through that exercise. I ask them not to overthink it, to go with their gut reaction. Without going into more detail, at the end of the exercise, they have found their top five values that define who they really are.

PAGE 123: AFFIRMATIONS, DECLARATIONS, AND MANIFESTATIONS
My favorite is to read my personal list of affirmations, declarations, and manifestations that are all aligned with my goal of improving myself daily. My affirmations are statements that confirm that something is true. My declarations are positive statements that I say aloud with feeling. And my manifestations (also described as the law of attraction) are my deepest desires and aspirations. All of these help me get clear on what I want and sub-consciously envision my desires to turn them into reality. You can find an example

PAGE 149: DISC ASSESSMENT
A good time to find out about everyone’s strengths, weaknesses, talents, passions, and gifts is during onboarding, retreats, or quarterly meetings. Simply ask them to tell you who they think they are. Then you can gift them the DISC personality and strength assessments that we discussed in Chapter 8 to help them and create more discussion and awareness. You can find them here
